Everyday Dragons is a small-business blog focusing primarily on the accounting aspects of running a MicroBusiness (in my case it’s a home-based Jill-of-all-Trades).
I’ll be covering everything from the basics of cash and accrual accounting, inventory tracking and auditing, to systems and process design for managing all of the related paperwork. Taxes will also be covered, but mainly focusing on Sole Proprietorship since I’m reluctant to dip my toes in the incorporation pool just yet. For now I’m planning on writing about things as I encounter them myself, but in the future I’ll also be taking requests for topics.
While most of the posts will be accounting themed, I will also be covering other aspects of starting and maintaining my own microbusiness. So don’t worry if you see random essays on Etsy or Ebay, Twitter vs Facebook Marketing, or a breakdown of the rules and regulations specific to the locality I live in.
And there may be a few doodles of dragons… possibly..
